dark | light design, an independent architectural lighting practice, is looking for mid-level and senior lighting designers to join our team. We work collaboratively within our own studio and with our clients to create lighting that enhances the experience of spaces across a broad range of project types and sizes.
You: have a strong sense of design, think conceptually about light as it relates to materials and space, communicate well, care about your work, are well-organized and self-directed. You will use your skills to work with great clients and a team of skilled designers from concept stage through construction.
We: provide a competitive salary and benefits, offer a supportive team environment of learning and exploration, and work on a diverse mix of interesting projects. Most of our work is in the Pacific Northwest and we are excited to be impacting the Seattle area’s explosive growth through the application of light.
Because we are a small independent design practice, you will be collaborating with clients and other design disciplines regularly, so excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills are imperative.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and AGI32 is required. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Engineering or Theatrical Lighting is desired.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work legally in the United States. Please send a resume, cover letter, and a portfolio link or PDF to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
