A Senior Lighting Designer is required to be educated in a variety of standard lighting design concepts and practices. The Senior Lighting Designer is expected to contribute to creative projects at all scales and be familiar with current lamp technologies and lighting fixture capabilities. Time management, creativity and good judgment is expected in order to plan and accomplish project goals and meet project deadlines. The Senior Lighting Designer will perform a variety of tasks that include but are not limited to: •Coordinating with the Executive V.P. of Design, Sr. V.P of Design, and/or Lighting Design Manager as assigned in the development of lighting designs for various WDD projects. •Create and produce lighting layouts, data sheets, lighting specifications, sections, elevations and details. •Create and produce the preparation of lighting plans and details for schematic, preliminary and construction drawings as assigned. •Produce fixture specifications per approved standards. •Assist Lighting Design Manager in preparing project budgets. •Review new products and attend manufacturer’s presentations as required. •Prepare project punch lists and field visit reports. •Assist with construction administration and observation. •*Direct light fixture focus and/or direct the setting of lighting levels and lighting scenes. (*These activities typically occur outside of normal working hours.) •Assist with the maintenance of lighting designs for Wynn properties. •Interface with the Engineering teams for the Wynn/Encore properties. •Job related travel within and outside the United States may be required. •Oversee other lighting designers as directed by Design Manager
•Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with the WDD Team as well as within the Company. •Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality; handling sensitive information concerning both the Company and its projects. •Must be adept at multi-tasking and utilizing exceptional organizational skills. •Must be proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. •Proficient in AutoCAD required. Knowledge in AGI 32, Photoshop and related is preferred. •Must have an understanding of lighting design concepts, theory and standard practice. •Must have a working knowledge of interior design and an ability to review and correctly interpret interior design documents. •Must have a strong knowledge of all code compliances related to Lighting, Interior Design and Architecture. •Minimum of 8 years of experience working for a professional lighting design firm, preferably in Casino and Hospitality Design Industry. •A 4 to 5 year degree from an accredited University in Lighting Design and/or Interior Design or Interior Architecture with experience in Interior Lighting Design required.
