We are currently seeking an Intermediate/Senior Lighting Designer to join our growing Toronto studio. Potential candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of lighting design experience and who has since developed a passion for lighting design and has chosen to pursue lighting design as their long term career.
The Intermediate/Senior Lighting Designer position requires a candidate that is self-sufficient and competent in the lighting design process and is looking to further build on their portfolio and experiences. This position requires frequent design collaboration with the studio’s Lighting Design Director, as well as delegating and collaborating with junior lighting designers and in-house engineers. The ability to be detail oriented, handle multiple tasks, projects, and milestone deliverable typical of the lighting design and construction industry is a must. Potential candidate should be available to participate in the occasional on-site (in town or out of town) lighting aiming, mockup sessions, or lighting surveys which could take place after regular business hours when it is sufficiently dark outside (exact time depends on seasonal sunset) as required for each project.

Education in Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural or Theatrical Lighting Design, with 3 to 5 years’ experience in the field of architectural lighting is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, AGi32 , Adobe CS/CC, MS Office, are required; Experience with hand sketching/rendering , Revit, Rhino, and SketchUp is a plus.
