You use Adobe Creative Suite with abandon and can communicate your ideas with ease and style in English. You thrive on feedback, a solid day’s work, getting hands-on with mock-ups, and are always asking “why?”

The Job: Junior Designer

The Junior Designer position is our first pick on our design team. Without them, the design cannot be researched, developed, documented or communicated to the build team. We depend on this position to keep the design moving forward with stunning accuracy and efficiency and we try to constantly foster the curiousity required for this position. We encourage our junior designers to be the buzzing social energy in our office by getting out of the office to meet other young designers in the vibrant Bay Area design community, take classes, volunteer, and explore the things that make them interesting people to design with. We take our role as lighting mentors seriously – we are training future lighting rockstars here! We also provide one on one mentorship tailored to your personal career goals.

Requirements
  • Degree in Architecture/Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, Lighting Design
  • 0-4 years experience at a lighting firm
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)
  • AGI32
  • BluBeam Revu

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Clear and efficient communication style with English proficiency

Jody Pritchard and Kristin Peck founded PritchardPeck with a new vision for lighting design. We've learned from years of large-scale commercial and residential work that it isn't about manpower; it's about leveraging technology to be more efficient and innovative. So we work and collaborate in the cloud. We constantly seek out cutting-edge products that allow us to deliver stunning spaces on time and within clients' budgets. We're a currently a team of 13 looking for our 14th team player, with founding Principals Jody and Kristin joined by an Associate Principal, Senior Designer, six Designers, Director of Operations and Executive Assistant. Both Principals work on every PritchardPeck project, giving our clients a level of expertise that few firms can match.
