Lighting Design is an opportunity to apply the unique craft of telling a story with light. The day-to-day includes drafting in Revit, developing bespoke solutions, custom detail development through in-person mockups, and documentation of the deliverable sets (drawings, specifications, cutsheets, controls packages, etc.) Flexibility, attention to detail, great communication, and a deep well of curiosity will help you thrive in this role. We provide one-on-one mentorship tailored to your personal career goals and work seriously to create the space for growth to help you get there. This position is offered to people willing to live in (or move to) the greater SF Bay Area and be in the SOMA office a few days a week.

Requirements:

• Love of design and a technical aptitude
• Degree in a related design field
• 0-3 years of experience
• Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Suite, AGI calculation software
• Detail oriented, proactive, and organized

 Additional Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, must be a proficient English speaker
• Personal time management
• Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
